Everything was as described, with the exception of one thing: it’s 800 and not 250 m walk to the (sandy) beach from the villa. But all in all a very nice place. Loved the pool and the shaded terrace!

Had a lovely holiday, villas position was fabulous, few minutes walk from Calo des pou, minutes from the marina and a lovely walk to the town, Lovely pool area, enjoyed spending our afternoons relaxing by the pool. Mattresses we’re very much on the hard side as we’re the pillows, could have had better sleep. The showers and sinks we’re salty water which was difficult as you never felt clean, skin felt tacky. Other than those few issues we have had a lovely stay, Ian who works for the company was a great help at resolving problems for us.

Just spent a week in Can Veler with my adult daughter and two teenage granddaughters. It's a beautiful villa and the view is way better than the photos show, there's a huge window and the Marina is right there in front of you, it's a great location. The beds were comfortable, we all slept well. One of the bedrooms seems to have better air conditioning than the other two, I could get mine to 16 degrees and the minimum on the others was 18 degrees and this did surprisingly make a difference. We called on day two and asked for the time on the air conditioning to be changed, it was set for 7pm to 7am and when it shut off at 7 it made quite a loud clunking noise that woke us all up - they did come out and change it for us immediately so that wasn't an issue for the rest of the holiday, very grateful for that. The kitchen is great, very clean, the huge fridge/freezer was handy, and we appreciated the electric kettle. We did buy water for boiling and drinking, to the point that we also used bottled water for teeth cleaning too, the water from the tap tasted horrible. All the rooms are on one level, opening from the main sitting room. Inside there is a spiral staircase both up and down, but this is closed off with a gate and a 'prohibido' sign. The best area was the outside patio, two bedrooms and the sitting room all had doors out onto this, we didn't sit inside the villa at all, just spent our time out there, very nice. The pool is actually on a level down, there are steps down to it, thankfully (as I hadn't realised that) there was a good handrail to hold on to. The pool was lovely and bigger than I expected - it was a long way back up to the kitchen if you wanted a drink, I guess that's why we took the teenagers with us, young legs! There were a lot of ants by the pool, and we had some mosquitos at night, I bought a can of Raid for the bedrooms after the first night. The Marina is walking distance, it's right there. There's a little Spar shop just there too which is handy, but it seemed to close early so you need to time it right to use it. The Marina is posh boats and restaurants. We weren't really impressed with the restaurants, they were expensive and over rated, and left us still hungry, very small portions. Walk up into Calas De Pou area, there's a lovely little square above the beach, with really nice restaurants, shops, and a night market on the Wednesday, we enjoyed that. It's a lovely villa and a lovely area. A suggestion would be, bearing in mind the walk down to the pool up and down the stairs, a selection of plastic glasses and plates would have been really useful. Everyone needs a drink by a hot pool and everything being glass made me a bit concerned. But other than that, it was really lovely.

Had a fabulous time at the villa -it’s not ultra modern but very comfortable and location is perfect - awesome view of marina - 2 min walk to spar shop and marina and 10 min walk in other direction to Cala Des Pou beach. Villa was very clean and great kitchen stocked with everything you need - spent lots of time on the fab terrace and in the pool. Beach towels were provided.Bedrooms and bathrooms spacious and well equipped - could just do with mirrors in 2 of the bedrooms for the ladies! Air con in bedrooms was fine and we usually had windows and doors open to let breeze flow through the house. Service from Best holiday homes was great - met on arrival at villa and paid deposit which was returned no problem on the evening before we left as we had a very early flight. There is another terrace which was out of bounds but it would be great if that could be used too… Would highly recommend villa and Service from Best Holiday homes and would love to return another time

A great place in a great location. We (Family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers) stayed at Can Veler for just over 3 weeks and found the place excellent, with everything one needs (spacious and well equipped) and a great location, close to port & restaurants, the beach and other places of interest. The owners responded to queries very effectively , making sure we have all we need (they even changed the wifi to ensure we have modern speed wifi). A fantastic stay all over!

Great ocation and superb views over the harbour. Couple of mins walk to harbour and 10 mins to nearest beach. Only real drawbacks, the air con is only in the bedrooms and it is only on from 19 00 to 0700 so the villa does get very stuffy. Master bedroom does not have en suite.

Great location and really close to the marina which was great for restaurants and walks. The villa was very clean and they refreshed the towels and bed linen regularly.

Can Veler is a lovely villa with outstanding views of the marina. It is very comfortable with everything you need. However, the AC is only activated for 12 hours from 7pm until 7am, which is actually fine if the temperature is below 29 degrees, when it gets over 30 degrees as it did with us for three days, the AC is not enough. It was quite uncomfortable during this time. The pool is lovely, with sun beds and beach towels provided. The area is good, a small supermarket just down the road. The prices here were very comparable with the larger supermarkets, however for a big shop when you get here I would recommend Eroski which is in Cala D'or. It would be good if there was information regarding the surrounding area, for example, you could walk around the marina and take a footpath up into Cala D'or instead of driving ( we found this out on the last but one day ) also the footpath at the bottom of the villa takes you to Cala Egos beach, takes about 10 minutes walk. All in all a very comfortable villa.

We loved our stay in can veler, it was spacious, modern and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need for a family stay. The pool was great, we used the BBQ a couple of times and the inside of the villa was comfortable and homely. Everything was to a very high standard. The location was ideal with restaurants, bars and a small supermarket just a few minutes walk away. There is a larger Eroski supermarket about 10 minutes walk away which was very well stocked (we got our meat, etc for the BBQ here). You don't need a car while staying here. We had some lovely walks around the marina and into Cala D'or which was buzzing with restaurants and bars (not a good place for groups of people wanting to party, more for families and couples). The villa is also a short walk to Cala Egos where there are a few shops and restaurants and also a nearby beach . I would certainly return to Can Veler, can't recommend it enough .
