Villa Serena - Cala d´Or Area

A wonderful villa with great facilities in quiet area that is only a short walk from numerous little Cala's. The restaurant, Cala Ferrera, at the end of the road is fantastic. We were a family of 9 and there was plenty of room for us all. Ideal for families with children. Would highly recommend.

Great holiday venue. We enjoyed our stay in this spacious well equipped villa. We especially appreciated the heated pool, the barbecue and the great location. Cala Serena beach is superb and very close. An ideal place for families with children.

We have previously used Betty and Best Holiday Homes so knew they were a professional and trustworthy company and that Betty is very proud of it . We were therefore a little disappointed to find some of the outside areas not as we would have expected . The local contact , who collected our breakage deposit , was in agreement and took photos which he sent there and then to Betty .
That was about 5.00pm on Saturday .At 10 am Sunday a cleaning team arrived and all was sorted pronto . This is to give everyone confidence that they are customer focused .
The property is great , sits well and has good views from the balcony across the Calas and into the mountains . Because the Calas are little inlets , a sea view is not too easy to find .
There is a space for everyone to enjoy either in the sun or shade and together or apart .
Internally it is also spacious with two priceless features .
Air con throughout , absolute bliss this year .
En suite to every bedroom , luxury for mixed age groups with varying night time needs !!
We enjoyed barbecues and pasta dishes at home and restaurants as well .
If you are prepared to walk or use the local bus you can explore the rest of the resort quite easily
The minute Cala Serena now boasts a beach bar which is proving very popular but I wasn't there long enough to notice if there were toilets as well .
we could have happily done two weeks but one was definitely better than none !!

One piece of hopefully helpful information : access to the pool ,you can see , is by steps leading straight into the water . It was hilarious watching two 76 year olds and one 89 year old on hands and knees trying to negotiate the steps with confidence and not drowning . I was one of the 76 year olds . So PLEASE Betty , get the owner to fit a central hand rail there's a good girl xx

Veldig fint hus, bad til hvert soverom. Masse plass både inne og ute, kort vei til nydelig bukt med strand. Vi hadde en nydelig uke her! Anbefales virkelig!

Villa Serena is beautiful! Fitted out to a very high standard with lovely en-suite bathrooms. Only a 5 minute walk from a cove with a swimming beach. Highly recommended.

We stayed at Villa Serena for two weeks in May 2022.

The villa is in a quiet area 2 minutes walk from a beautiful little Cala, 10 minutes walk from a supermarket and a couple of good restaurants, and around 30 minutes walk from more restaurants and bars etc.

We were a family of 5 adults and 2 young children. The villa was perfect for us- plenty of space (we didn't use one bedroom), lots of seating areas, perfect size pool and our kids could walk to the beach.

The service locally (cleaning, maintenance, check in etc.) was excellent as was the service remotely by Best Holiday Homes. We used the BBQ most days and the kitchen is very well equipped.

Would highly recommend this villa for anyone looking for a Family or quiet holiday in a comfortable home in a beautiful location.

The 3 upstairs bedrooms are accessed via an external staircase, this might not suit everyone.

The location for a beach holiday is excellent and it's just a short walk to the nearest shops and bars.

After nearly two years of waiting due to the covid situation we managed to stay in this lovely villa. There were 10 of us (6 adults and 4 teens) - plenty of space, very tidy and clean. Air con in all bedrooms - a godsend as it was very hot! The location is excellent - on a very quiet residential road and only a few minutes walk to a fabulous cove. A couple of small supermarkets within 5-10mins and we walked into Cala D'Or which is about 20-30 minutes. There is a large supermarket there where they will also call you a taxi to take your shopping home.

The pool and garden is lovely - probably needs a lick of paint on the outside but that is the only negative! Loads of kitchen utensils - we cooked a lot of the nights. Eating out is very easy - loads to choose from in nearby Cala Ferrara and Cala D'Or. There is a great family restaurant serving lovely traditional food within 5-10 minutes walk.

Best Holiday Homes were very professional and quick to respond to a few queries we had - the safe wasn't left open so we couldn't use it straight away. They called me back and then organised for someone to come round and open it. The pool filter stopped working and this was fixed within a couple of hours.

To finish the holiday we chartered a boat for the afternoon via Hayes Charter - Jason and Maria were lovely taking us to a few coves - snorkels, paddle boards and a fabulous tapas lunch - well worth it!

We stayed for a week in October, 10 adults needing some winter sunshine. The villa was perfect, the rooms were comfortable, clean, cool and airy all with their own bathrooms. There were plenty of areas for relaxing and a fabulous outdoor eating area. The kitchen was modern and well equipped which meant that we could easily prepare an evening meal for 10.
A lovely pool, table tennis, a beach on the doorstep a a great marina in the town meant there was always something to do. The garden was pretty and well maintained and private. The local shop was well stocked considering we went at the end of the season and the local restaurant was excellent and very friendly. A fantastic villa for all the family. Thank you we will be back.
