Villa Denise is conveniently located just a short transfer away from Heraklion airport in the great area of Karteros and just 800 meters to a sandy beach. The bay of Karteros is located 7 km east of the Heraklion and extends a further 3.5 km east with various sandy beaches, restaurants and beach bars to choose from. The Blue Flag Karteros beach, the organised beach of Xenia, the wonderful beach of Amnisos which is still organised but less busy and to the far end of the bay the area of Tobruk with an organised beach and many fish taverns. There are buses between Heraklion and Karteros that run several times a day or just a 15-minute journey by car. As the island's largest city and chief port, Heraklion exudes an energetic atmosphere with a wealth of attractions including outstanding architecture, shopping, golden beaches and waterfront restaurants serving exceptional seafood.
