Nestled in the foothills of the picturesque Valle d’en March, enveloped by foliage, flora, enchanting walking trails and dramatic mountain backdrop, the recently refurbished, stone clad homestead of Son March is ideally positioned for those wishing to explore the island’s breath-taking vistas and diverse panorama.

A light and airy entrance hall leads to an ensemble of exposed beams, cool terracotta tiles and solid wood furnishings, creating a pleasant blend of ‘traditional with a good measure of comfort’ throughout. A farmhouse style kitchen comes with all modern-day appliances, a separate utility room and door leading to a small east facing breakfast terrace, positioned perfectly for revelling in an early sunrise whilst savouring the first coffee of the day. The open plan living/dining area bathes in natural light filtering in through glazed patio doors that open out onto a paved sun terrace, creating yet another option for dining. Two of the four air conditioned bedrooms also benefit from direct access to this delightful spot, accompanied by views of the sizeable pool bordered by an assortment of flourishing trees and shrubs that offer natural respite from the heat of the midday sun. Plenty of great run-around space for younger members of the group to indulge in is provided on an expanse of grass within these attractive enclosed grounds, whilst would-be chefs will enjoy rustling up a tasty something on the brick barbecue.

Keep that camera close to hand as magnificent mountain views loom whichever way you turn and 'Kodak Moments' will be overwhelming. Son March’s location on the road between Pollensa and Lluc means exploring further afield couldn’t be easier - simply turn left out of the gate to discover Old Town Pollensa (10 min) and a succession of craggy coves and stretches of sandy tree lined shores, turning right out of the gate the reward is to marvel at the enchanting Tramuntana mountain range, where country roads snake through unique rock formations punctuated by glimpses of sparkling sea and quaint mountain villages below, as it continues to meander towards the Port of Soller – certainly a potential highlight of your stay.
