Villa Elena - Chania

A beautifull vila in a quiet little village nearby a nice beach place Platanias. Nice garden and swimming pool and large bedrooms with lots of storage space for clothes and suitcases; nice balcony (2) upstairs. And very good airco!!
A few remarks: there were pans but to big for cooking only one little pan to fry an egg; not enough spoons for cooking. not enough egg cups (only two); if you advertise that you can have 6 people in the vila you have to secure you have the inventory for a group of maximum 6 people. That is my only remark. As I mentioned the details before.. as a result of that we did not cook at home but eat outside most of the time; and that is not a punishment...
The living room was ok but not suitable for large people to sit on the sofa.... we could not sit there comfortable with the family; the sofa was to small...
But on the other hand: very warm welcome (we got a warm lunch and some groceries and a very friendly professional owner; she did all her best to make our stay comfortable and was very helpful when we had questions...

Elena could not be a better host. The villa was beautiful- thank you so much for the goodies you left and a home cooked meal to welcome us. Thank you to uncle Mark for waiting for us late at night. Elena was available if we needed anything and nothing was too much trouble. A fantastic stay.

If you plan a family trip to Crete I’d gladly recomment Elena Pap’s villa near Chania. We had great time there with two adults and four kids in June. Villa Elena easily accommondates 6 and with little arrangaments perhaps 8 people. It’s clean and beautiful fairly new house with a pool and a balcony with sea view. Elena was very kind and helped us with everything. Housekeeper Sofia was so sweat that she gave little selfmade bracelets to our girls. What really made our day after travelling was the refigerator filled with fresh vegetables and feta cheese, and garden provided us fruits. Location was great. Little bit up the hill soft breeze from the sea made it easier to enjoy garden. We rented two small cars making commuting easy. Platanias near by had tons of turists. The crouwds didn’t bother us because Villa was further away but Platanias offered easily all the services we needed, including a doctor, supermarket and other turistic services. I wish I could return.
