Seven kilometers away from the beautiful beach of Episkopi you will find Arcus Homes Luxury Suites & Villas, a whole neighbourhood of old Venetian stone mansions of the 14th and 15th century, located in the neighborhood «Kintana» in the heart of Argyroupolis and Lappa in Rethimno.
The Superior Family Suite can accommodate up to 6 persons, the two levels are divided into living room area, kitchen, WC, sitting area, dining area downstairs and two bedrooms (one with double and one with 2 single beds), bathroom (Jacuzzi bathtub) upstairs. The suite has its own independent entrance with terrace and access to the garden and the pool. The whole coverage of the suite is 105 square meters.

Argyroupoli village is near the borders of Chania and Rethymno prefectures, just 27 km from Rethymno and 55 km from the city of Chania. Picturesque village, built on a hill in the ruins of ancient Lappa, located at an altitude of 280 m. Since 1983 is declared by the Ministry of Culture as «Preservable archaeological area».
The village is built on the ruins of ancient Lappa, who became a major city in the Roman alliance signed. Lappa was one of the major cities of western Crete during Roman times. Lappa had control of the area from north to south. It had two harbors, in north and in south Crete. It is said that one of the port was “Phoenix”, just south of the current village of “Loutro”. Also is believed that Georgioupoli is the other harbor of ancient Lappa.
In nowadays at the village you can see many important ruins, including two Roman baths, basilicas and three statues of Venus, Jupiter and Bacchus. Also considerable efforts of restoring Venetian houses run very successfully in recent years by individuals.
Near Argyroupoli (1.5 km) are the springs of river Mouselas well known as “Argyroupoli springs”. The area around springs is filled in green nature with big plane trees and water flowing everywhere coming from many small waterfalls. There you can also enjoy your meal or you coffee in the tranquility of local restaurants. The water gushes from the cave which is in the chapel of Saint Force (Agia Dinami). The amount of water is enormous and covers the needs of Rethymnon city.
Northwest of Argyroupolis, approximately one kilometer, there are five cave tombs, believed that there are buried the Five Holy Virgin (Thekla, Mariana, Ethane or Athena, Martha and Mary), testified that the lived during the time of Roman Emperor Decius, around 250 AD. Over the graves, from which holy water wells, is located a small church dedicated to Five Holy Virgin, which celebrates on Easter Tuesday. In the region, after recent excavations they have found many tombs, dating from the period of Octavian. The area is green and very beautiful with big oak and plane trees.
