It was totally renovated in 2016 whereas a brand new pool area was added. A perfect blend of traditional and modern aesthetics, handpicked original art, each room is carefully designed to inspire a way of easy living while treating your eyes to the breathtaking blue of the sea or the colours of sunset even from the privacy of the bedrooms. The property's numerous terraces are equipped with several remotely positioned sun beds and loungers, perfect for star shooting or simply reading a book. Two well equipped kitchens are ready to accommodate a nutritious Cretan breakfast or a lovingly prepared dinner.
The outdoor areas are a treat; amazing gathering spots include lounging and al-fresco dining sections on the various layers of the property, either protected from the sun and winds or meant for sunbathing. The brand new sea water infinity pool area, complement the serene sea view ambient, while a variety of beaches can be reached within 5 minutes by car. A private chef on demand can be an addition to this sanctuary, offering a fantastic culinary experience. Within 5-10 minutes by car you will also find a good selection of simple Cretan tavernas and restaurants.
Guests will have access to all 2 acres of the property, being able to familiarise themselves to local flora, natural grasses and wild and aromatic plants characteristic of the island’s habitat. The villa ideally combines peacefulness and comfort while it still offers proximity to Heraklion for those who love to socialise.

Axelia Villa is located on a private hill in Agia Pelagia, a beach resort, 20km west of Heraklion on the west side of a long peninsula, famous for its almost always calm waters. The main beach is sandy, long and narrow and the locals have fun here daily in the beach bars and choose it for swimming.
A variety of small coves, either sandy or pebbled, with turquoise waters, are excellent for swimming, whilst above average restaurants, cafes, bars and water sports can fulfil any guest's requirements.
This is also the beach where several ruins of the ancient port city Apollonia have been extracted. Walking along the cape of Souda (don't confuse it with Souda of Chania or Plakias) passing by the shrine, after a few steps you will be above the most beautifull beach of Agia Pelagia, Fylakes. Fylakes are small bays with green waters sheltered by the tall rocks of Cape Souda. In order to access Fylakes you have to go down along the rocky coast that lead to the beach or swim or take a sea bicycle. This small beach is considered as one of the top 10 beaches of North Crete, so sont miss it! Other nearby options include Psaromoura, Mononaftis, Mades, Lygaria, Paliokastro beach and others.

The villa was just perfect for our need, well appointed, nice pool with outstanding views and multiple outdoor spaces t lounge around. Although we didn't need them, there were playground facilities for young children and a bunk bedroom that kids would enjoy. Well equipped kitchens and friendly owners. we would gladly stay here again
