Casa Mocho sits within extensive grounds of tall palms, gracious carob-trees and time-worn olives. The property boasts an impressively large swimming pool, pergola, attractive outdoor dining and seating areas, pretty calçada pathways and a distinctive interior bursting with quirky character.

Local stone and timbers cleverly crafted together, fuse effortlessly with terracotta tiling and cane beamed ceilings. Casa Mocho hints strongly at tradition which contrasts pleasingly with a contemporary fitted kitchen and island, modern appliances along with well-appointed living spaces. There is plenty of convenient access to the outdoors and a wonderful relaxed atmosphere is created thanks to the owner's keen eye for colour and comfortable interiors.

Casa Mocho is named after the owner's love of owls, a theme that runs through the house. The spacious covered terrace, with nearby barbecue, offers an excellent space to enjoy outdoor dining with family and friends, whilst that impressive swimming pool and large surrounding sun terrace will surely entice many a keen swimmer!

Nearby, the pretty white washed village of Estoi (4km), and the sleepy market town of São Brás de Alportel (6km) both offer a choice of several excellent eateries. Beach lovers will enjoy a short trip to Fuzeta (16km), situated on the banks of the Ria Formosa Natural Park, famed for dune backed golden beaches and simple quayside restaurants serving delicious freshly caught seafood.

Uneven paths, pool fountain feature (not in use) and steps around the grounds mean that young children would need supervision.
Grounds are unfenced and wild in places.
Electric gated entrance is shared with one neighbouring house that is 200m from the property.
Please note that in addition to the property rental there is a local tourist tax to pay. We collect this tax prior to your departure and remit it on your behalf. The rate is £1.35 (€1.50) per night for all guests aged 13 or over applicable for maximum 7 nights.
